A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
Sustainable University Idealab: In January 2012, RIT and the NCIIA hosted the Sustainable University IdeaLab. 50 students from area universities were selected to participate. James Barlow, Program Manager for Outreach at NCIIA, led the five-day intensive innovators boot camp, modeled after NCIIA’s successful VentureLab program. The focus was on identifying opportunities to create novel products or services and viable businesses to address sustainability on university campuses. .
