In alignment with the College's Strategic Plan (mission), multiple positions and offices (7 with primary responsibilities associated with diversity) within the organization are tasked with diversity inclusive responsibilities: 1)Dean of Campus LIfe (Gay-Straignt Alliance-GSA, LGBTQ Club); 2)Admissions (geography management); 3)Mercy Center ("multi-faith room," service trips to under-developed countries, with annual trips to Haiti & Guatemala),; 4)Academic Center for Excellence-ACE (English Language Learner-ELL Coordiinator), 5)HR (policies and trainings for harrassment, EOA, hiring training and employee compensation), 6) Office of Sponsorship & Mission Integration (responsible for leading the infusion of institutional Mission and Core Values of Faith, Excellence, Integrity, Community, Respect, Compassion and Justice within the institution and for maintaining the integrity of the Institutions' connection to the Sisters of Mercy) http://www.sistersofmercy.org/what-we-do/social-justice-advocacy/ ); 7)Office of Study Away (provides opportunity for students to expand their world view of different cultures through immersion in them https://www.sjcme.edu/academics/study-away/oncampus/)

Training for faculty & staff in the interests of providing "Safe Zone," culture for LGBTQ community; Catholic Charities resources, speakers from countries benefiting from the Catholic tradition of providing support to under-represented groups world-wide that is in alignment with the College's identify as a Catholic college; ADA Title IV trainings for staff and faculty; Cultural Affairs Committee guest speakers for broad audience;
ACE & the FIrst Year Experience Course they oversee is required for ALL freshmen includes diversity training in its curriculum.
