A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Students are given opportunities, both in a lecture format, and also experientially, to engage in discussions and activities around sustainability. During the summer orientation program, move-in orientation in August, and throughout their first semester in FYE, students attend speakers, and are introduced to the myriad of policies in the residence halls and dining areas around sustainability, recycling, and composting.
