A brief description of notable accomplishments during the previous three years by faculty and/or staff engaged in sustainability research:
Lindsay Wildlife Museum (LWM) and Saint Mary’s College Professor Steve Bachofer collaborated on a new free mobile app that allows Bay Area residents to learn about local wildlife and share wildlife photos and experiences via social media. The project was made possible by a grant from the Science Education for New Civic Engagement and Responsibilities.
Saint Mary's English Professor Brenda Hillman has won Canada's prestigious Griffin International Poetry Prize this year for her volume of nature-themed poems "Seasonal Works with Letters on Fire."
