The entire campus community (students, staff and faculty), directly or by representative sample
Which of the following best describes the structure of the cultural assessment? The assessment is administered::
Longitudinally to measure change over time
A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:
The culture assessment was developed by reviewing other campus assessments and by a collaboration between students, faculty, and staff. A student developed and managed the survey. It was adopted in 2018. It was combined with the literacy assessment.
A copy or sample of the questions related to sustainability culture:

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:
We had 1,377 respondents. The assessment was administered by sending an email to all students of SDSU through Strategic Communication and Public Affairs (STRATCOMM), through our social media account, and through posting flyers around campus with a QR code to take the survey.
A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment, including a description of any measurable changes over time:
Nearly 99% of students believe that the principles behind sustainability are important. They also believe that SDSU should be proactive with making sustainable change on campus. 60% of students would consider supporting a universal transit pass. Unfortunately, nearly 50% of students have not taken a single course related to sustainability. Students are mostly taking the route of reducing material waste and eating less meat to lower their environmental impact.
Some of the measurable change questions overtime include curriculum and initiatives.
-Curriculum: Back in 2018, 83.8% of survey takers deemed it important to incorporate sustainability within their courses compared to 85% this year.
-Initiatives: Back in 2018, 40.6% of students knew about Green Buildings while 44.8% do now. Also, in 2018, 42.2% of students knew about Earth Week while 35.2% do now.
