Data Driven Waste Management
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Weekly and monthly data from our campus' waste hauler is both manually and automatically input into a tracking and analysis software called SkySpark. Dumpster-level weights, which correspond to individual buildings, allow our sustainable operations team to target the most wasteful buildings and increase diversion through strategic improvements. A public dashboard in the website URL below has been created this past year for the public to view the data.
