A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
All new employees receive sexual harassment prevention training as well as diversity training. Existing employees must renew their harassment prevention training bi-annually. This training discusses protected characteristics, and includes cultural competencies. The Difficult Dialogue series is a monthly dialogue facilitated by a faculty member around a diversity-related topic. This program creates a space where the community can dialogue and think critically about society and our diverse world.
