Selkirk maintains both a Facebook page and Instagram account ran by Sustainable Selkirk that promotes events both on campus in the community, shares sustainable living tips, works to increase knowledge of sustainability themes, and encourages action towards solving sustainability challenges.

The main parking lot on the Castlegar campus includes bioswales, which capture, treat and redirect stormwater runoff before it enters the neighboring Columbia River. At the entrance to this parking lot, there is interpretive signage which explains how the bioswale installation works and how it is mitigating negative impacts on the surrounding environment.

A brief description of the sustainability walking map or tour:
Sustainable Selkirk's Story Map shows where students can find recycling and composting bins, water fountains and bicycle racks. It also shows the location of other sustainability projects, such as the bioswale installation. Having this map available online, instead of in print form, was a conscious choice to reduce our paper use.

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:
Materials are provided to students when they move into student housing. Information about using the recycling facilities and the compost program is provided, as well as on taking shorter showers and washing laundry on cold.
