A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
Thirty-seven buildings have their ventilation controlled by a campus-wide Building Automation System. All these and future buildings (and many others) have ventilation systems designed to meet code via ASHRAE Standard 62. The practices we use to ensure good indoor air quality include: monitoring the temperature and humidity and, in a number of cases, C02 on an ongoing basis; verifying proper operation of fans and dampers; following up any complaints of stuffiness or odors with investigations by Physical Plant Services, and/or the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. Fume hoods are tested on a regular basis as required by code.
