Sewanee’s Plan for Environmental Education and Sustainable Living was adopted in 2008 as an addendum to the University’s Strategic Plan. It includes the goals that the participation of students should be central to all our environmental and sustainability endeavors, and that the Domain should be managed as an educational asset. It also calls for both leadership in sustainability and environmental studies nationally as well as the creation of a Sustainability Master Plan to guide sustainability decision making.
