A brief description of the event(s):
- Slippery Rock University participates in World Sustainable Development Teach-In Days. The program, presented in the University Union, was meant to provide the SRU community the chance to examine key sustainability-related issues.
- Slippery Rock University's Robert A. Macoskey Center hosts a festival every year to celebrate Earth Day. The festivals are intended to increase environmental and sustainability awareness and appreciation.
- The Masters of Science in Sustainable Systems program hosts speakers to present a variety of sustainability topics.
- The Robert A. Macoskey Center hosts screenings of sustainability-focused films, speakers, tours, and gatherings.
- In April 2011, Slippery Rock hosted a day long symposium, "Towards a Sustainable Pennsylvania." The symposium focused on Marcellus Shale issues.
