A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the course inventory:
Definitions and criteria were sent to Department Heads. Each department then individually specified if they had a sustainability course or course that included sustainability. Any courses that could possibly be sustainability related were also pulled from the undergraduate and graduate 2014-2015 Course Catalog. All courses submitted were then looked over by four members of the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Committee. They voted on if each course was a sustainability course, a course that includes sustainability, or neither. For consistency, courses were only included in the final count if courses were given the majority of votes.
