A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The Division of Research & Economic Development provided a list of all research grants that were submitted through their office. From this list, a keyword search in the research title and description narrowed down the list of research projects. The same keyword search that was used for academic courses was used as for this credit.
The Sustainability Specialist and a faculty member then read through each research project to see if they were sustainability related or not. Research projects both agreed on were included in the final list. Next, the list of research was sent out to all departments. They were asked to review the research and add any additional research they felt should be included.
The information only includes sponsored research projects.
