A brief description of the program:
The Ecology Center of the Siskiyous (ECOS) student organization collaborated with the Dean of Hannon Library to implement a bicycle-sharing program on campus. ECOS purchased ten Kona Smoke bicycles for the first phase of the program. The bikes are stored in the main public stairway of Hannon Library and are checked out through the circulation desk. ECOS also purchased bicycle helmets and locks, which may be checked out with the bicycles. The bicycle rental is free to SOU students for up to 2 hours. There is a $10 charge if the bicycle is kept out overnight.
