A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate:
Recycling receptacles are located in all campus buildings. Students on the Waste Subcommittee of the Sustainability Council were successful at obtaining funding to purchase new uniform recycling receptacles for all campus buildings and to develop a recycling sorting facility (to reduce the amount of "contamination" of recyclables). The students have also developed an education program to help students become more accountable for their actions relating to waste and recycling.
