We do not have an institution-wide product purchasing policy. As part of the custodial safety program , which recommend that the department reduce the risk of injuries by purchasing products with a low hazard ratings which has lead us in the direction of green certified products. We currently use green certified products in all our buildings.

A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed:
To ensure that this ,"low hazard rating"/ green certified products, purchasing guidelines are followed, first we research any product that we are thinking of introducing to the campus. We ask for a sample and a MSDS sheet of the product. We review the MSDS sheet with the safety officer and if it is safe, we review pricing then assign the sample product to a custodian so we can get feedback on the effectiveness of it.

We have chosen Buckeye green seal line of chemicals in our campus as our primary cleaning products. In all of our buildings there are automatic dispensing units set up for a more efficient process.
