Learning Connections Conference (LCC) is an annual employee professional development event. The Office of Sustainability hosts workshops around different sustainability themes in this conference. At LCC 2023, we presented three workshops: 1. How do I Relate? Integrating Sustainability into Academic Programing. 2. Dirt, Bugs, Plants and Messy Hands: The importance of biodiversity for a healthy SLC. 3. Land-based Education- Behaviour, Sustainability, and Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being (in collaboration with the college's Indigenous Team).
The workshops include an in-depth overview of the topic and resources for educators to take back and apply to their own course work. Our biodiversity workshop also included a hands-on planting experience focusing on native plant species.

The UN SDGs Microsite is a platform created by the Sustainability team intended for faculty use and program planning. Part of SLC's "Program Planning, Development, and Renewal" is to offer sustainability-focused and sustainability-inclusive courses in all programs. The microsite displays each SDG and it can be clicked for more details such as: full description, infographic, and college example(s) on how the goal is being implemented in a class environment at SLC.
