Our Sustainability Committee (FY-2022-2023) worked with the Madison County Landfill on a Recycling Outreach "What Recycles" program available to students, faculty and staff.
This included two time-slots to take a tour of the Madison County Recycling Center, with campus provided transportation to and from the site.
The program was sustainability focused, and we (Madison County & SUNY Morrisville's Sustainability Committee) worked together educating incoming students, (& faculty / staff), about the county dual stream recycle program.

Nelson Farms is located just 8 miles from SUNY Morrisville, and serves as their FDA-inspected food processing incubator. We’re also used as an experimental laboratory for SUNY Morrisville students in several programs of study, allowing them to gain real-world experience in agritourism, marketing, entrepreneurship, dietetics/nutrition, and value-added agriculture and development.
Our kitchens are a great place for students to learn while gaining confidence and experience.
Local sourced food growers are encouraged to PARTNER with SUNY Morrisville to process and shelve their goods and this partnership gives growers a processing facility as well as a market, while SUNY Morrisville has a living laboratory for students to partake in processing food goods, and shelving them for the growers as part of this New York made Partnership Marketplace.

The office of Institutional Advancement has created business partnerships with energy companies to advance scholarships that become available to students in the areas of Sustainable Energy programs.

Outreach and fostering the development of ongoing Business Partnerships that will support our graduating students is a continual process. This is a SUNY Morrisville – Mustang strength, and it is certainly sustainably focused.
