Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
ESF Computing an Networking Services (CNS) recommends that campus community members purchase Dell Latitude line of laptops (5000 series and higher) and the Dell Optiplex series of desktops (5000 series and higher). For those that need more power, CNS recommends the Precision line. All three of these lines feature EPEAT Bronze, Silver and Gold designations. CNS and the Business Office do not currently comprehensively track laptop/desktop purchases. Therefore, for the purposes of this report, we will conservatively assume that purchases meet the Bronze EPEAT designation. The Sustainability Division will work with CNS and the Business Office to create a more comprehensive tracking system prior to our next reporting cycle.
