Does the institution have a bicycle-sharing program or participate in a local bicycle-sharing program?:

A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
The ESF community is served by Gotcha Bike's bike sharing program. Students are able to get a discount. There are a number of hubs near ESF, Syracuse University and throughout the Syracuse community. The process for using the bike share is simple:
1) Download the Gotcha Mobility app
2) Sign up with a phone number or email
3) Use the app to find available bikes
4) Scan the bike with your camera to unlock and ride
5) Return the bike to a hub near your destination
ESF also has a bike library program. Five bicycles are located outside Moon Library and are available to rent for 24 hours at a time. Membership to ESF students is free and bikes are rented from Moon Library with the swipe of an ESF ID card. Users complete forms and view a short (10-15 minute) safety presentation.

ESF students are able to access Zipcar through Syracuse University (SU). Zipcar is the world's leading car-sharing network and allows users to drive various cars on demand, by the hour, or the day. Information about Zipcar locations can be found on the SU Zipcar site, and details about the process and pricing structure can be found on Zipcar's webpage.

ESF has installed skateboard docks (parking) for its students.
For over seven years, ESF's bike safety committee has been actively and tirelessly advocating for safer and more convenient access routes to and from campus, especially along a main corridor to the Syracuse campus (Euclid Avenue) that connects the residential university neighborhood area to the main campus in Syracuse. As a result, in 2018, new bike lanes were including on Euclid Ave., and a main thoroughfare into the College. The City of Syracuse and Onondaga Cycle Club also have information about bike infrastructure and local events on their websites. The renewed ESF sustainability website will direct visitors to those resources once it launches in mid 2021.
