Does the institution have an ongoing mentoring relationship with another institution through which it assists the institution with its sustainability reporting and/or the development of its sustainability program?:
Yes

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:
The College's faculty, staff, and students have been involved in numerous mentoring activists with other colleges, government agencies, and NGOs for the purposes of assisting with the ongoing development of their sustainability programs. Examples include Syracuse University, the University of the Virgin Islands, University of Puerto Rico, SUNY Sustainability Coalition, SUNY, City of Syracuse, and many others.

In Fall 2022, Lemoyne College, Syracuse University, Upstate Medical University and ESF began meeting quarterly for "Sustainability on the Hill" meetings. These meetings are designed to facilitate idea sharing, mutual learning and collaboration.

Many institutions of higher learning routinely contact ESF's Office of Sustainability with requests for more information about programs, implementation and general advice. Recent examples include SUNY Purchase and St. Bonaventure University. Another example of a newly development relationship is between SUNY ESF and the New York Bass Nation Youth Program. The Office of Sustainability met with program leadership in late Fall 2022 to assist with program brainstorming. The Office will serve as a high level advisor during the program's Climate Action Plan creation process in early 2023.

ESF is also active in the NY Coalition for Sustainability in Higher Education group and in 2021, presented an overview of its zero waste programs during a monthly coffee hour meeting. The goal of that meeting was to field questions and share best practices with colleagues in the higher education sustainability field across NYS.

Has the institution had employees or students serving as peer reviewers of another institution’s sustainability data and/or STARS submission during the previous three years?:
Yes

A brief description of the peer review activities:
Office of Sustainability staff members provided a review of SUNY New Paltz's 2022 STARS submission. In 2023, the team will review Cornell University's submission.
