ESF's Campus Conversations: The Podcast
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Campus Conversations: The Podcast is hosted by ESF President Joanie Mahoney and features in-depth conversations with people who are working to address our planet's most pressing issues. The podcast is produced by ESF's Digital Storytelling Studio in collaboration with the Office of Communications and Marketing.
The podcast features conversations with ESF faculty about their research. Conversation topics cover everything from ESF's American chestnut tree restoration project, aquatic ecosystem health, and ecosystem conservation, to the sustainable materials economy, climate change, and the intersection of environmental justice and environmental health.
Special guests include New York State Sen. Rachel May and Assemblyman Bill Magnarelli, where they discussed their experiences with the history of environmental issues in the Central New York region and what the public can do to support environmental change.
This podcast is an innovative way for the public and campus community to learn about the exciting research and initiatives happening at ESF. Through a casual dialogue, Campus Conversations: The Podcast makes understanding the exciting findings more accessible to everyone.
