The Syracuse Campus installed 10 Level 2 EV charging stations (18 ports) during the summer of 2021. These stations are able to be used by the campus fleet and campus community. Some stations are also open to the general public. In 2022, the University Police Department purchased an all electric 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning--the first academic police force in New York State to do so. This vehicle charges on campus. The College is just beginning to explore the feasibility and cost of installing a Level 2 and Level 3 (DCFC) charging stations at its Newcomb Campus to support the purchase of electric vans at that location
