Does the institution compost or mulch waste from grounds keeping, including grass trimmings?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the composting or mulching program:
The lawns are cut with mulching mowers, which drop grass clippings in place. All garden waste from campus is taken to a composting facility on college property, where it is processed and eventually returned to our garden beds for soil improvement. Autumn leaves from the local neighborhoods are also processed at the compost facility. We use them, combined with woodchips made from campus tree trimmings, as mulch for garden beds across campus.
