A brief description of the postconsumer food waste composting program:
We compost all vegetable, fruit, paper cups & coffee grounds at all four locations. We do not compost postconsumer food waste at Sharples because the compost facility cannot accept meat and dairy waste. The compost is picked up at each location nightly and brought to the compost site. In addition postconsumer waste is collected from dorms and faculty lunch sites.
