The Temple University Libraries host an online guide, resource center and programming for students to learn about what open education resources are and how to discover and use them. They also publish a regular e-newsletter with more news, information and resources.

The North Broad Press, a joint open access imprint of Temple University Libraries and University Press, publishes open textbooks, available for all student use. Students can read the book online, download an EPUB, download an accessible PDF, or order a print copy at a significantly reduced cost. All North Broad Press titles are peer reviewed and freely available online.

Textbook Affordability Project
The Textbook Affordability Project (TAP) is a grant program that awards funds to Temple faculty members who make their courses more affordable for their students by replacing costly educational resources with library-licensed materials or open educational resources (OER). Alternatively, faculty can receive funds for engaging in other open educational practices, like creating openly-licensed learning objects or replacing a traditional assignment with renewable assignments that center students as creators of knowledge. Awards range from $500 to $1,500.
