A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Tennessee Technological University's main campus is 267 acres with 87 buildings. Tech’s School of Agriculture consists of two main farms, the Shipley Farm and Oakley Farm. Each provide students with hands-on experience working, learning and doing research. The 300-acre farm Shipley Farm is a productive operation with cattle, pigs, and sheep located about 2 miles from the main campus. Crops such as hay, wheat, and soybeans are also produced. The Oakley Farm, located in Livingston, TN approximately 20 miles from TTU’s main campus, is an 1800 acre working ranch and supports the state’s second largest beef cattle herd of mostly brood cows. Also included is the Appalachian Center for Craft, a satellite campus of Tennessee Tech University and part of the nationally accredited School of Art, Craft and Design within the College of Fine Arts.
With an enrollment of more than 10,000 students, Tennessee Tech offers more than 40 undergraduate and 20 graduate degrees across eight academic colleges and schools: Agriculture and Human Ecology, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Nursing.
