A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:
All new construction has been geared towards the use of native Texas plants in the landscape. Most of these decisions are made by the A/E firm and permitted through the FP&C (Facilities Planning and Construction) for Texas A&M University. We have aimed at narrowing and giving specific attention to plants not only native to Texas, but to our eco-region. Several of our plants and trees are part of the Texas Superstar list of recommendations.
