A brief description of the program, including examples of peer-to-peer outreach activities:
Energy Stewards work closely with students, faculty, staff, building occupants, departmental representatives, facility managers, building proctors, and technical staff to educate, inform and raise awareness about opportunities for improving energy efficiency and conservation, and receive feedback to ensure customer needs are met while improving building operating conditions, eliminating waste, and effectively stewarding the responsible use of energy.

Seven Energy Stewards are directly responsible for staff outreach and education as a major part of their job responsibilities. They were selected through the TAMU hiring process with education and experience as a key responsibility for their position.
A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
Energy Stewards are trained in building automation systems, heating ventilation & air conditioning systems, pumps & motors, lighting systems, building envelope systems, energy auditing, retro commissioning, energy management and public speaking.
A brief description of the financial and/or administrative support the institution provides to the program (e.g. annual budget and/or paid faculty/staff coordination):
