A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
The University Council for the Built Environment (CBE) provides recommendations to the President on all aspects of the campus built environment. To support the Council, there are four sub-councils, one of which is the Design Review Sub-Council (DRSC). During the review process, the DRSC reviews all building projects to ensure compliance with the 2017 Campus Master Plan. Within the 2017 Campus Master Plan, Chapter 5 outlines sustainable strategies specifically in regards to the campus built environment. These include: Energy Use and GHG Emissions; Stormwater Management; Campus Mobility; Built Environment (building design and operations), and Site Design.
