Transportation Services has adopted the following guideline to address idling vehicles/motorized equipment on campus:
• When a vehicle or any motorized piece of equipment is not in use, if possible, it should be powered off to prevent the creation of unnecessary pollution due to idling.

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
The total natural gas consumed on campus was 2,866,575 mmBTU. Of this, 2,320,938 mmBTU was burned in units that have a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System that calculates the NOx, SOx, CO and PM. The remainder was calculated using the "Potential To Emit Calculator for Boilers and Emergency Engines" published by the EPA.
