Part 1

Does the institution have policies and/or guidelines in place to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources on campus?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
Transportation Services has adopted the following guideline to address idling vehicles/motorized equipment on campus: • When a vehicle or any motorized piece of equipment is not in use, if possible, it should be powered off to prevent the creation of unnecessary pollution due to idling. http://transport.tamu.edu/Fleet/leasing.aspx

Part 2

Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary campus sources or else verified that no such emissions are produced?:
Yes

Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) 19.60 Tons
Sulfur oxides (SOx) 1.80 Tons
Carbon monoxide (CO) 25.70 Tons
Particulate matter (PM) 3.30 Tons
Ozone (O3) ---
Lead (Pb) ---
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) ---
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) ---
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations ---

None
A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
The total natural gas consumed on campus was 2,866,575 mmBTU. Of this, 2,320,938 mmBTU was burned in units that have a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System that calculates the NOx, SOx, CO and PM. The remainder was calculated using the "Potential To Emit Calculator for Boilers and Emergency Engines" published by the EPA.
