Safety was integrated with the annual employee review process. As such, employees are expected to follow safety and security protocols and promote the safety of self and others, supervisors are required to evaluate their employees’ safety performance, and some departments have internal teams that meet regularly to evaluate and promote safety among their staff. Safety training provided by Environmental Health & Safety is available in multiple platforms: in-person/classroom, hands-on, online/web-based, and by request for subject matter expert presentations. Over 15,700 EHS training completions were documented in FY19 for university staff, faculty, students, and visitors.
