A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
The Office of Sustainability hosts resource tables at New Student and Transfer Conferences which are held throughout the summer and each January. These two-day conferences are mandatory for undergraduate students and are designed to help students transition to life at Texas A&M. Graduate and professional students are encouraged to attend. At the resource fair, we share information about the mission and vision of the Office of Sustainability, as well as explain past and current projects and identify opportunities where they can become involved in campus sustainability. We encourage all students to apply for the Sustainability Internship Program and stay in touch with the Office of Sustainability through social media. We reach out to new International Students at the International Student Conference Resource Fair.
Additionally, all students new to on-campus housing must take an online orientation which includes information about sustainability resources, opportunities for engagement, and contact information for staff.
