A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability, including the issues, legislation, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
Members of the ACG faculty are often asked to participate in discussions, conferences and fora related to sustainability issues and public policies.
At a recent event, the Director of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainability has been invited to participate in the discussion for Resilient Cities, by the Municipality of Athens. This is a participatory process in which everyone shares view points and shares in discussion of needs and policies.
In the same Municipality, contacts were made with Deputy Mayors in order to promote the "Simply Cool" initiative and green roofs in the city. Representatives of Municipality also participated in the Sustainability Week event of the ACG .
