ACG CARES ACG Cares offers the members of the ACG community the opportunity to engage in service related to activities that enhance the quality of life of others in the community, as well as their own. In providing such opportunities, ACG Cares seeks to uphold the College mission of empowering its members to develop as critical and creative thinkers and socially aware individuals, while preparing for lives of reflection and responsible civic engagement in a complex, global world. Through various colaborations with municipal authorities, ACG CARES provides help to the community mainly in kind. ACG maintains close relationship with the Municipality of Salamina & Agia Paraskevi as well as with many NGOs such as : Agapo-Prosfero, Agkalia, Hara, Kid & Family, Make a Wish, MDA Hellas, SOZO for Children, TACT Hellas, Amymoni, Porta Anoikti, Kivotos Tou Kosmou, Boroume, Floga, Enosi Agona kata tou Neanikou Diaviti (for children’s diabetes), and the Cultural Association of Mikroasiaton in Ag. Paraskevi (Politistikos Syllogos Mikroasiaton Ag. Paraskevis). Also, during Christmas and Easter periods meals are offered to families in need in Aghia Paraskevi (in collaboration with the Municipality of Aghia Paraskevi through the “Municipal Kitchen & Foodbank”). Except for meals or food items (flour, concentrated milk spaghetti, rice etc. based on their needs according to their meals' scheduling), ACG donates money raised from various events/initiatives e.g. selling books for 1 euro, running the student lounge by students/societies i.e. one society per week through selling coffee & snacks.
