Programs and Initiatives
The waste, recycling, and composting bins on campus have signage on what belongs in the bin to help educate the campus community on proper waste sorting and reduce contamintation. The inaugural cohort of the Sustainable Living Office in Spring 2022 is working to further raise awareness of zero waste principles among their peers through educational events, tabling, and implementing new zero waste programs on campus.

Figures needed to determine weighted campus users: Performance year data is CY2021 (Jan - Dec 2021). CY2021 is our baseline year as well. Resident data for performance year is based on CY2021 data in alignment with the waste data. Full-time data for performance year based on NCES 2019 data as CY2021 data is not available on NCES yet and CY2020 data is not representative given the impact of COVID-19 on campus population.
