A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
While there is no routine cancer in life, the James serves as a venue to provide for a quality of life for cancer patients and their families. As part of this experience JameCare for Life steps in to provide survivors of cancer and their support networks an educational experience in order to facilitate the importance of a plant-based diet approach to enhancing human health.
The garden itself is 261 acres at the agricultural research center within Ohio State University, where people may come to learn how to cultivate produce through agricultural experiences they will be taught throughout their overall process of participating in the Garden of Hope, through the JamesCare for Health program.
