A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The Ohio State University’s wellness initiative, under the leadership of the One University Health and Wellness Council, provides programs, resources, services and rewards to employees to help improve their health and well-being. Faculty and staff have access to an online wellness app/web-portal, individual and group health coaching, biometric screenings, the employee assistant program, disease management programs, weight management and health education classes, physical activity and nutrition programs, and monthly and quarterly wellness “challenges”. Faculty and staff can elect to be a part of the university’s wellness champion team, the Buckeye Wellness Innovators, to promote a culture of health and wellness in their respective department or unit.
