Sample Sustainability Learning Outcomes from the Environmental Engineering Department: 1. Understand the interaction between natural and built environments 2. Connect environmental, structural, geotechnical, and water resources disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary studies in areas such as architecture, geology, chemistry, environmental health, and environmental policy 3. Develop skills in mathematics through differential equations, probability and statistics, calculus-based physics, and general chemistry 4. Gain a deeper understanding of earth and biological sciences as related to their chosen fields of interest 5. Conduct laboratory experiments, critically analyze and interpret data, and create integrated and holistic designs 6.
