The CES University Sustainability Advisory Committee is established as a support mechanism that seeks to strengthen, at a strategic level, issues related to sustainability at the University, promoting the exchange of knowledge, relationships and progress on this issue as part the mission and vision of the organization.
Goal: Contribute from knowledge and experience in the direction, projection, creation and implementation, at a strategic level, in sustainability issues that strengthen this area at an institutional level, so that the mission and vision of the university materialize, generating value to its stakeholders.

Members of each committee, including affiliations and role:
• University president, who chairs the committee
• One (1) representative of the "Sala de Fundadores": highest governing body of the university, that transfer to all the body the relevant issues, conclusions and recommendations given by this committee
• One (1) representative of the Superior Council (highest governing body of the university), transfer to the Council the relevant issues, conclusions and recommendations given by this committee.
• Six (6) external advisers, ad honorem, without links to the university and on a voluntary basis. They will be elected for a period of one (1) year, with the same renewal if both parties agree.
• Director of sustainability from CES, who will act as secretary of the committee

A brief description of each sustainability office:
Head of sustainability that reports directly to the president. The purpose of the area is to integrate sustainability into the institutional strategy as the essence of our mission and vision, making us responsible for our impacts at a social, environmental and economic level. We work for the balance between financial growth that allows viability, the benefit for society with inclusion and social equity, and responsible environmental management.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:
Sustainability is aligned from the strategy. All the activities are aimed at managing material issues. There are three axes
1. commitment to people: quality education, welfare, social management and inclusion
2. commitment to the planet: green university, renewable energy, sustainable mobility, efficient management of resources and waste
3. Commitment to prosperity: good governance, ethics, transparency, growth
Achievements: among the challenges were the creation of leadership and the integration of sustainability with the substantive functions of the University, making it a transversal part of the strategy, creating value for society through them and the relationship with our interest groups.
Substantive accomplishments:
• Lead the creation of the sustainability area and its strategic planning
• Implementation of social and environmental projects and initiatives articulated with material issues and the Strategic Development Plan.
• Creation of the areas of relationship and fundraising, and volunteering
• Co-construction of the Strategic Plan for Institutional Development 2020-2025
• Implementation of the efr management model and achievement of the efr international certification (efr manager)
• Planning, design and execution of sustainability reports under GRI standards (management institutional reports)
• First university in the region to have zero single-use plastic guidelines on campus
• Carbon footprint certification
• First university in Colombia in THE impact ranking for the contribution to the SDG
