UDEM is committed with resource efficient facilities. In 2013 was inaugurated the first LEED building of the University. The Roberto Garza Sada (CRGs) Centro is the space of ideas and expressions that gathers and develops the best creative talent, becoming a spot of formation, creation and preservation of art, architecture and design in Latin America.
It currently has LEED certification "Silver", awarded by the USGBC (US Green Building Council), the only building of an institution of higher education throughout Nuevo Leon internationally certified as a space that respects the environment.
