Students from the civil undergraduate program have been studying our existing buildings looking for opportunity areas. During a semester they will evaluate the performance of the building and make proposal to our maintenance department.

Students from our Nutrition undergraduate program has to make a menu proposal to our dining services. The goal of the project was to offer a nutritional and well balanced meal for our students. The class project is now willing to make a vegan and a vegetarian proposal.

A group of students have organized an Energy Waste Hunt in colaboration with our sustainability center. For a stablished period of time teams of students go through the university looking for areas where they believe energy efficiency could be apply. All sugestions are send to the maintenance departent.

A class from the civil undergraduate program have to register all trees in the online platform (http://bosqueurbanomexico.org/). Students have to go through campus identifying and photographing the trees. The next step will be to create ID tags for each tree.

As part of a class in the Sustainability Undergraduate program students have no analyse the products UDEM buys. The course focuses in lifecycle of the product. Students have to choose from a catalogue of purchases from the University.

Transportation is a big issue in our city, many of our students drive because of the lack of a good public and efficient transportation. Student from the Sustainability Undergraduate Program analysed the situation and made a proposal for a more sustainable mean of transportation for students, staff and faculty.

A group of students with help of the Sustainability Centre make a wasta audit to analyse the composition of the waste. WIth the information gathered they made a proposal for a new design for the bins. This information was also very helpful to define an educational campaign for waste separation.

As part of the sustainability center activities this past years was to update and create policies for recyccling, waste management, styrofoam, airquality. With a group of students we started working on this. Another project that has been going on is the GreenEvent checklist, and with help of student groups we have been working on this.

To promote health among peers, a student group and the Sports Deparment organize the "Health Week". During this week of activities student have the opportunity to go to workshops, conferences, have blood test for a low cost, conferences, among other activities.
