Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Air quality network monitoring

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
In 2020 we purchased seven air quality monitors from PurpleAir to join a citizen´s initiative to create an air quality network in the city. The purpose of the network is to give citizens accurate live data of air quality to make decisions. This initiative has been pushed by primary schools that often do not know if it is ok to let students go outside during lunch breaks. We joined because we want our students to be aware of the significant air quality issue in our city and engage them to learn about air quality and reduce air pollution. As part of some academic courses, the students analyzed the data, found patterns, and proposed solutions.
