A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
Every year UDEM assesses engagement and satisfaction of its employees. This year UDEM switched from Great Place to Work to Kenexa Smarter Workforce. The assessment is divided into three categories; satisfaction, engagement, and demographics. Kenexa Workforce Assessment is applied to more than 700 companies and UDEM is above the average. The assessment is an electronic tool and it was send to all employees (staff and faculty) and everyone was encourage to fill it up.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The last survey was conducted during the summer 2018. All employees receive an email from our Human Resources Department, and the access is open for three weeks. After the process closes Kenexa IBM analyzes all answers and makes a report that is given to UDEM. With the answers and the information collected, UDEM is making changes to improve and looking to address all issues that came up. Every direction or department got their metrics and shall work with their group to develop a plan to create a better working environment.Anonymously surveys are filled by mostly all employees. Data is summarized and reviewed by GPTW and shared with UDEM`s Human Resources, President’s office and other key administrators.
