Additional documentation to support the submission:
Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
The living hourly wage in Sherbrooke is based on a family of four (two adults and two children) and is lower than the Province of Québec minimum (hourly) wage (translated details about relevant figures can be found in the document under “Additional documentation to support the submission”). Thus, all employees at Université de Sherbrooke earn a higher salary than the living (hourly) wage.
The local (hourly) wage calculations pertain to 2017 and can be found in the Report Les conditions d'un salaire viable au Québec en 2017 (The conditions for a living wage in Québec in 2017), particularly on page 7, prepared and published by the Institut de recherche et d’informations socioéconomiques (IRIS):
https://cdn.iris-recherche.qc.ca/uploads/publication/file/Salaire_viable_2017_WEB4.pdf
Hence, institutional wage figures refer to 2017.
