The Université de Sherbrooke offers several wellness programs and services such as counselling and guidance for students, staff and faculty members:
Students:
Student Life Support Network (AVE) / Le réseau d’Aides à la vie étudiante (AVE). This service is meant to assist students on a personal, academic and professional level. Indeed, a student who anticipates or experiences a difficulty can contact an AVE network member (staff member) of his or her choice for support. These AVE members can be consulted confidentially for various reasons such as issues related to student life, personal or professional questions, situations of intimidation or harassment, or difficulties of any kind. The AVE network provides students with a list of contacts by faculty, department or center.

Psychology Services. The Psychology Services offer various services to Université de Sherbrooke’s students in order to support and assist them in many areas of their personal and academic lives. In particular, students can benefit from individual consultations, emergency psychological consultations, be provided with thematic documents and a directory of community resources available in the Estrie and Montérégie/Montréal regions.

Guidance Services. The Guidance Services unit of the Université de Sherbrooke brings together a team of guidance advisors, including an academic and professional information advisor, who work together to provide the best services to students. For instance, available walk-in consultations, access to labor market documentation, information about training and the job market as well as a placement service for graduates.
Group activities on various topics such as anxiety, suicide prevention or profession exploration are offered by both the Psychology and Guidance Services.

Health Clinic. The Université de Sherbrooke’s Health Clinic brings together a team of four general practitioners, a specialized nurse practitioner (SPI) and two nurses who work in collaboration. Upon presentation of the student card, students have access to a variety of medical services on-site. It is possible to consult a health professional for medical issues as needed.

Prevention of sex-related violence. The Université de Sherbrooke’s website on prevention of sex-related violence provides the university community with information related to issues of consent, sexual assault and sexual harassment. In addition, a list of emergency or support resources is also available through this site. It is also possible to access awareness and prevention programming activities occurring at the University. Finally, the university community can download the SécuritéUdeS application, which is a tool to report an emergency, to get help or to request a walk-in service on campus.

Committee for quality of life at work. In order to support organizational health, this Faculty of Engineering’s committee aims to ensure the diversification and integration of the university community, to establish an action program on student psychological health, to engage students' commitment to the profession and to support staff and students in applying integration measures.

Staff and faculty:
Employees Assistance Program (PAP) / Le programme d’aide au personnel (PAP). This program offers a service that allows staff and faculty members experiencing difficulties to consult a professional who can help them find a solution (i.e. personal difficulties, family and marital difficulties, addiction and psychological problems, work and academic problems, financial and legal problems). An external firm is mandated by the University to provide the professional services offered through this assistance program.

Organizational Health and Development. This unit part of the Université de Sherbrooke’s Human Resources Services is responsible for facilitating the updating of organizational changes in the evolution of the University through the development of staff members' skills, their mobilization and the creation of a sense of belonging to their organizational unit and to the institution. It is also responsible for the development and management of benefits and organizational health programs as well as the implementation of measures to encourage attendance at work. These responsibilities translate into, for example:
Proposing and collaborating in awareness-raising activities on organizational issues such as psychological harassment, discrimination, diversity management, workplace accommodation;
Proposing and coordinating the implementation of various programs related to organizational development: employee assistance, employee valuation and recognition, feedback, work-family balance, organizational health improvement, performance management, employee retention;
Informing and supporting staff in the context of employee benefit (other than pension) and organizational health programs.
