A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
The general objectives of the organization are:

to facilitate social progress by encouraging individuals, in particular students, to assume their role as citizens, their rights and their responsibilities;
to give students the means to promote their work and their research in positive social action, to acquire practical and enriching experiences as well as to use university resources for the benefit of the community as a whole;
to tackle social and ecological problems by carrying out student projects on themes of public interest;
to promote student participation in public debates, community actions and regulatory or legislative reforms;
to promote the active participation of the greatest number of students in the projects and decisions of the organization;
to work in partnership with members of the Uqamian community, other GRIPs in Quebec and the outside community;
to receive donations, legacies and other contributions of the same nature in money, securities or real estate; to administer these gifts, bequests and contributions; organize fundraising campaigns in order to raise funds for the needs of the organization; and
to do whatever is relevant and necessary to promote and achieve these goals.
