In accordance with its campus-wide responsible procurement policy, Université Laval’s annual call for tenders for computer equipment requires that all computer equipment sold on campus be at least EPEAT SILVER, RoHS (EU), and Energy Star certified.
Université Laval issues a call for tenders each year to determine what equipment is eligible for purchase by its administrative units. All equipment included in tenders must be EPEAT SILVER certified at minimum. Following the call for tenders, an average of 25 computer models are selected as eligible for purchase by university departments wanting to purchase computers.
