A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability, including the issues, bills, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
The University supported the City of Quebec during its consultation on its strategic plan for pubilc transportation (2011). The University supported the Province of Quebec's proposed law on sustainable development (passed 2006). The University is also strongly advocating more funding from the government for education (ongoing).
Université Laval also supports Conférence régionale des élus de la Capitale–Nationale, an advisory board of elected officials, in promoting and implementing the integrated forest and natural resource development plan for the Québec City area.
