A brief description of the program(s), including positive outcomes during the previous three years (e.g. descriptions of new courses or course content resulting from the program):
The university uses its sustainable development fund to help professors enhance course content by incorporating a sustainable development dimension. Financial support was also provided to create training opportunities such as:
- The Summer School in Environmental Education and Sustainable Development;
- The graduate diploma in Environmental Education and Sustainable Development;
- The Introduction to sustainable development course (DDU-1000);
- The 7 Mon équilibre UL program courses;
- The Massive open online course (MOOC) in sustainable development;
- And many others.
A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:
The faculty members who develop sustainability courses are offered a release of time, financial support from the sustainable development fund, trainings, and seminaries such as those organized by IHQEDS (summer school, fall school, annual student congress, and annual forum).
